Voters send notice to present and future Texas Railroad Commissioners

May 30, 2012 By TXsharon

  • Don’t abuse Rule 37 and MIPA to help corporations steal our private property.
  • Don’t put corporate interest over public interest.
  • Stop being an industry lapdog.

Or, we won’t elect you to higher office.

Elizabeth Ames Jones and Michael Williams both lost their bids for higher office. Maybe they can get jobs working for the Big O&G Mafia.

About Sharon Wilson

Sharon Wilson is considered a leading citizen expert on the impacts of shale oil and gas extraction. She is the go-to person whether it’s top EPA officials from D.C., national and international news networks, or residents facing the shock of eminent domain and the devastating environmental effects of natural gas development in their backyards.

I certainly hope the RRC candidates took notice that the people DO want them to do their job. Elizabeth Ames Jones and Michael Williams were jokes of the highest order.

It will take a lot more messages like this one. If you go look at Smitherman’s Facebook page, his entire campaign is based on being against Obama and the EPA.

No kidding – it seems you have to sell your soul to Satan to get on the RRC and then you are tainted with the O&G stench afterwards such that you can’t win a race for dogcatcher.

As a statewide race, you almost HAVE to be a Republican to win – where oh where are the balanced, moderate Republicans who are willing to encourage domestic energy production while still protecting the environment?

This is the beginning of a wave rejecting these industry apologists you are exposing.

      I agree Christine.
