Fracking News

When the drilling rigs show up, the rash won’t be far behind

June 14, 2013 By TXsharon

Earlier this month a resident in the Eagle Ford Shale sent a photo of the view out their backdoor during the day and during the night.

Today I received photos of the rash that often accompanies the stench of drilling, fracking and processing shale oil and gas.

Right now the family is having to evacuate frequently when things get too bad.

Here’s another picture of a rash and another story about a family who had to evacuate.

The rash above looks just like the rash Lisa Parr had.

People all over the country are getting rashes they never had before fracking came to their backyards.

I lived near the petrochemical plants of the Gulf Coast for over two decades. The rashes you are seeing are the tips of the iceberg. There is a price to be paid when one lives too close to petrochemical operations and rashes come with the territory. Prolonged exposure will produce other symptoms…eventually even cancer.

We know the rashes very well in Booger County–along with other health effects from the GasHoles and their processes.

Now I am getting worried bc our 7 year old son has been presenting unusual rashes and we live just 10 miles from an LPG (liquid petroleum gas) processing and storage facility that recently opened on Seneca Lake, in Redding , NY; not far from Horseheads, NY. Hopefully that is just a coincidence but reading all of these stories really calls one ot consider the serious impacts business/industry can potentially have on our environment and physical, mental, emotional bodies!

10 miles is pretty far away. Could there be some other facility nearby?

I had rashes on the Barnett, and lesions,

They scarred and look like melanoma now.

My 9 year old had rashes too.

    The Gas/Oil patch is awesome!

I still get sores, when I have exposures. It’s awesome!
