Did fracking in Booger County crack this foundation

October 17, 2011 By TXsharon

It’s interesting how cracks suddenly appear where they weren’t before fracking. I’ve heard so many people talk about how their homes shook when they fracked nearby.

FRACKED IN BOOGER??
Cracks mysteriously appeared in building.  The plat map at RRC site shows a tri-lateral horizontal completion going right beneath the building!  Could it be that a vertical fracture on a horizontal completion caused this damage??

Fracking is like setting off bombs underground

I had my foundation checked and measure before Chesapeake started drilling 537 ft. behind my home for this very reason. No insurance company in Texas will cover any earth movement damage to your home from any source including fracking. Your only recourse is to sue the industry. If you signed a gas lease with the industry you are stuck, because you cannot sue them.

Sue a Gas Company???? If you do, expect absolute NO HELP from the crooked oil soaked Texas Courts!! They are all bought off by big Gas.

They have had a lot of problems with this Pelton#1 well. Noticed on latest production numbers for August 2011, a big fat zero. The thing must have gone belley up!

You really can feel the movement under your feet during the drilling/fracking process, but you know the industry will blame the cracks on the drought. We recently installed new windows in our home only to find that our house has moved so much that some of them will not open or close. We also have large cracks in our home since operations began in my neighborhood.

Last night an Arlington resident spoke to council about the cracks in his property since drilling (he is within 900 feet). He stated back in the drought of early 1980’s that he HAD NO CRACKS. He said he watered this year, but that the cracks showed up in February…before this intense heat! Council had this blank stare and has been no help to him. He also said to me that councilwoman Capehart will blindly take the driller’s side and defend that the truck drivers WERE using the correct roads when he has pictures of road damage and can testify along with other neighbors that they were NOT using the correct road. Now his driveway is falling into the street or vice versa. Another resident complained of the intense noise…but alas they voted in 6 more wells to the Steeples site.

is it due to bad foundation? but that is one big crack you see. There must be something big going on there. Do you have other pictures other than this?
