More water restrictions coming

Tonight I learned that we are soon going to the next level of water restrictions, Level 3. We can only water our yards once every two weeks.

Tonight I made two rain barrels.

 

I wonder how many billions of gallons of water the Big Gas Mafia ruined today?

    Along this line, 4 new fires in Texas started Thursday:

    http://www.nifc.gov/fireInfo/nfn.htm

    * Copper Breaks (Texas Forest Service): 1,500 acres at zero percent contained. This fire is 19 miles northwest of Crowell.

    * South 104 (Texas Forest Service): 1,000 acres at zero percent contained. This fire is 12 miles southwest of Quannah.

    * Big Cedar (Texas Forest Service): 400 acres at 75 percent contained. This fire is 16 miles north of Paducah.

    * Perry Ranch (Texas Forest Service): 400 acres at 75 percent contained. This fire is 16 miles southwest of Iraan.

    Its times like these that I wish Texas would be more like California and require that every drill disclose it’s water usage and where the water came from. With all the lakes in North Texas suddenly losing 5 to 10% in a few months I wonder how much is due to this historic drought and how much is stolen by natural gas extraction.
