Fracking News

Regulators and government unmoved by public’s fear of fracking earthquakes

December 9, 2013 By TXsharon

“If, in fact, you’re asking a question of whether something could happen to hualt shale production in the United States, I think that is highly unlikely.” Darius W. Gaskins, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Energy Policy Research Foundation (EPRINC).

There is simply too much money in it. The question is: Who profits and who pays?

I might have pictures later today of the latest cracks in Rebecca’s home.

It must really work for them to ignore everybody. It is very rude for fellow Texans to be so rude. We need to go to those RRC Open Meetings in Austin. The next one is Wednesday, December 18, 2013. Same drill as our City Council Meetings…only a lot more of a trip. And it’s a week before Christmas! Still wishing they would have at least ONE Open Meeting in our neck-of-the-drilling woods…the Barnett Shale. Are they shy? We’ve offered to bake a cake. No response.

Do you know the topic of the 18th meeting?

Many topics in the Open Meetings. Not sure when they make the agenda available for an upcoming meeting. Seem to recall that it’s the week before.

Here are the Minutes of the 32-Page November 12, 2013 meeting. Lots of items. The “Public Input” comes at the very end of the meeting.

They don’t want to hear from the peasants so they make it as difficult as possible.

How right you are, TXsharon. That RRC is crooked as a dog’s hind leg.

Glad to see dialogue being opened, even against the wishes of “representative” Phil King.

Oops, I shouldn’t have put that in quotes …. he does represent O$G very well.
