Fossil fuel mafia’s paid protectors to get pay cut.

April 15, 2013 By TXsharon

Bob Perry, the #3 donor in the country to superpacs last election has died.

And shareholders want to know why fracking companies spend so much on pay-to-play politics. Shareholders are also starting to ask questions about environmental damage.

About Sharon Wilson

Sharon Wilson is considered a leading citizen expert on the impacts of shale oil and gas extraction. She is the go-to person whether it’s top EPA officials from D.C., national and international news networks, or residents facing the shock of eminent domain and the devastating environmental effects of natural gas development in their backyards.

As people become more aware of the Pay-to-Play via campaign contributions, lobbying etc – the price of buying a political puppet has gone up and has become less effective manner of doing business.

last year when the Center for Media & Democracy’s Sourcewatch released their report on the American Legislative Exchange Council (ALEC) and the list of politicians who were members – there was a rush by these politicians to either divest themselves from ALEC or whitewash their websites of all traces of ALEC. The same happened with a number of corporate members.

There was also an article I stumbled across last week where ALEC is asking members not to refer to ALEC as ALEC, but rather to use “exchange council” instead, due to the negative image of ALEC

Next we need shareholders to question the extensive use of bullying the public, which, as I know all to well, is quite expensive. Intimidation attempts have a very high price tag.

They also need to question the use of psyops.

The American Legislative Exchange Council, which for decades has been known by the acronym “ALEC,” is asking members to stop calling it ALEC since the name is now associated with a “distant, mysterious, Washington alphabet organization of unknown intentions.”

This helps to explain some of the really lame posts we’ve seen from the Frack Flak lately. I mean, where has all the talent gone? It had to go somewhere. Right?

They are recycling the same old talking points. I think they are out of shit to make up.
