Photos: Greenwood gas processing plant in Wise County

March 31, 2013 By TXsharon

I went for a walkabout this past week with a journalist. Here’s a new gas processing plant I found not far from where I used to live. It has 5 compressors, a flare or two and some separation equipment. It stank with an overpowering, sickly sweet smell.

They like to call it a compressor station but it’s a refinery.

There are some 1 dozen of these stinking gas processing plants in Booger County, plus some 8-10 compressor stations(with multiple compressors), hundreds & hundreds of sour gas wells with processing equipment on site, many dozens of stinking chicken houses, pipelines everywhere, an appraisal district that heavily taxes residential homesteads, speed traps everywhere and much more! Want to come to Booger? My home is for sale.

They should buy people out and let them leave. You can’t live with this shit!

Agree! Let’s just condemn ALL properties on the Texas Shales AND provide moving expenses with fair compensation to these individuals so they can make better lives somewhere else for their families.

Excellent photos, by the way. Very professional.
