Hydrocarbon chemicals from BP spill present in blood of residents

January 4, 2013 By TXsharon

More confirmation that it’s time for President Obama to take Dr. Colborn’s suggestions.

BP blamed for ongoing health problems
Gulf Coast residents and clean up workers have found chemicals present in BP’s oil in their own bloodstreams.

“I’m really sick, and I fear that I’m not gonna be here in a year,” Williams told Al Jazeera. “There are days that I can’t get up, and I can’t eat. And I can’t do the things that I used to do, with Bubba, and my grandbaby. And Noah. And then I worry about my mom. And I have nothing to leave them but a crab boat and some crab pots.”

This is from breathing the fumes/vapors/emissions. Wilma Subra handed out respirators for the workers and residents but if workers wore them, they were threatened by BP.

“There are now dozens, if not hundreds, of other Gulf Coast residents and former oil clean up workers that have also tested positive for having BP’s chemicals in their blood,” she added. “And for many of us, the problem seems to be getting worse with time.”

This is not the first time hydrocarbon related chemicals have turned up in people’s blood and it won’t be the last.

There will be cancer clusters and all manner of other ailments as long as we stay hooked on fossil fuels.

David, you can’t take for granted that if you’re on city water you’re okay. For reals.
