Fracking News

Gov. Cuomo needs to hear from you even if you’re not in New York

December 10, 2012 By TXsharon

Here is a message to NY’s Gov. Cuomo that can be signed by non-New Yorkers.

New York needs our voices.

All Hands On Deck In The Fight Against Fracking!

The fight against fracking has reached a crucial tipping point in New York. And even though you don’t live in the state, it’s an all-hands-on-deck moment.

Gov. Andrew Cuomo has signaled that he is getting ready to allow gas companies to start fracking in the state at any time.

As he decides whether to open the door to this polluting industry, Gov. Cuomo needs to know that the entire country is watching. Will you send him a message right now?

Your action is important not just to New Yorkers, but to communities across the country fighting to protect themselves against the health and environmental impacts of fracking. If New York takes a tough stance on fracking, it will send a strong message that the tides are turning against dirty energy.

    A good new!

The Biomass Crop Assistance Program is supporting the establishment of 3,500 acres of SRIC (hybrid) willow crops in northern New York State for the production over 100 MW of power.

Biomass energy is a not an intermittent source as solar energy photovoltaic and wind turbines.

In a sunny place, a solar steam generator can be added in order to replace biomass when the sun is shining.

China plans to use this technology at a large scale.
