Complying with a subpoena and order for discovery is hard work

May 23, 2012 By TXsharon

So sorry for my absence from my blogging duties. Much has happened that you need to know about but I’ve been tied up trying to comply with the subpoena that Range Resources sent me in the Lipsky case. See, now I will have to add this blog post in with all the others.

Yes, Dear Readers, they have required me to provide all my blog posts that have anything to do with the case despite the fact that all those blog posts are, not only available right here, but are also available in the 4 or 5 inch binder they provided us at the hearing. I was wondering if I could just include their binder as part of my compliance with the subpoena. It would sure save some paper and ink.

Please know that I sent Karma a list of names.

In the meantime, Range Resources is having some legal issues with yet another case of water contamination.

HONEST!!!  We don’t know how those drilling chemicals got in your water!  All we know is it wasn’t us.

And Seeking Alpha has some stock advice: Buy Anadarko Now, Sell Range Resources

Just so you can keep it all straight: Anadarko is the one who recommends the Counter Insurgency Manual, Range Resources uses the PSYOPS.

That discovery stuff is a big bunch of work because (among other reasons) the enemy lawyers want you to pony up a big bunch of crap so that they can charge their clients top dollar for (supposedly) reviewing all the produced crap! I’ll bet the clinet doesn’t know that they are funding a giant sucking machine on their pocket book! ha.

Karma does catch up with sloppy energy companies. Like, BP in 2005 has their Texas City refinery exploded, due to blunders they could have caught, oops, 15 dead.

Then an important BP crude oil pipeline on the North Slope fails from corrosion, all due to skipped maintenance to save money for BP. Oops, crude & fuel prices spike.

Top that off with the Deepwater Horizon.
