Cut the fracking drama because Chesapeake is not going anywhere

January 24, 2012 By TXsharon

Chesapeake Energy has invested $1 billion in CNG infrastructure for vehicles. They aren’t going anywhere.

Right now they are in a huddle with the rest of the Big Gas Mafia trying to figure out how to make gas prices go up.

About Sharon Wilson

Sharon Wilson is considered a leading citizen expert on the impacts of shale oil and gas extraction. She is the go-to person whether it’s top EPA officials from D.C., national and international news networks, or residents facing the shock of eminent domain and the devastating environmental effects of natural gas development in their backyards.

That’s the real goal. Even with all the lies about reserves, there is plenty of gas. What they didn’t count on was people switching more and more to renewables. They can install all the vehicle refueling stations they want, NG vehicles aren’t going to take off. When it takes a huge Wall Street announcement to tout 5 new trucks being used, that should be their first clue. The arrogance of big gas and oil, mistakes they make, and again more arrogance to try and cover them up, have turned off the American public. Non-disclosure hasn’t helped either. They’ll find a way to inflate the prices, no doubt, but the public is becoming aware and blowing the whistle more and more each day.

With the bottom dropping out for gas I expect to see a big drop in my electric bill since Texas generates about 38% of its electricity with gas power plants – right?

      Ah, such a hopeful peasant.

David, it sounds like you haven’t contacted your energy provider to switch your electricity to wind, yet.

      Please do.

      It’s OUR choice.

Not every place has that choice. When I lived in Wise County we had no choice. It all depends on what is available in your area.

How true David above. This is Texas where “THE SYSTEM” is designed to extract money and assets from the peasants and take it onto high to the various Juntas!

Excuse my ignorance but I believe Chesapeake and the natural gas industry sold our municipalities and state government on the need to drill in our backyard because it creates jobs, right?
So how can Chesapeake stop drilling in Fort Worth but according to Chesapeake and the mayor Betsy Price there would be no jobs loses. Because the job creation was way over estimated? Because the jobs are of a transient nature? Because the natural gas industry has lied to the American people once again?
Damn I am sick of these people.
Help Denton now! We need to get Ed Ireland off of our drilling task force! It is shameful how he is bending the truth to get the ordinances industry wants. According to Ed if Denton does not let NG industry put compressor station in the city limits it will have unexpected consequences. Does that sound like a threat to you. Chesapeake also pays Ed Irelands salary.

They only thing to do about Denton at this point is to replace all the city council and the mayor with people who will listen to the people and not the shills. That’s what they did in Flower Mound and it seems to have worked quite well.

Argyle replaced the Mayor, thank goodness…

The council, raped him of his powers….
