Massive operation to contain hydraulic fracturing fluid at Chesapeake well

April 20, 2011 By TXsharon

Another hydraulic fracturing accident at a Chesapeake well.

Gas Drilling Emergency in Bradford County

A massive operation is underway in Bradford County to deal with a spill at a natural gas well in LeRoy Township near Canton.

By now you know the drill…sorry.

  1. They were fracking,
  2. the well blew out at the surface,
  3. thousands and thousands or dangerous chemicals are flowing all over the place.
  • through fields
  • over personal property and farms
  • even where cattle graze

Nice job. AGAIN!

There’s a video HERE.

"We haven't had one documented case of hydraulic fracturing fluid spilling out onto fields, over private property and farms and where cattle graze. If we did, we wouldn't write it down, because they it would be documented, duh."

If you were so confident, then why are you posting as anonymous? Whatever you say is just more “Fox News” ignorance. Remember, Rhupert Murdock is a tabloid news junkie who has raped the legitimacy of the Wall Street Journal. Besides, your grammar says it all.

These wells are very dangerous for us if we cannot concentrate on job they can blew up and smash near our locality and farms the workers should be very carefully while they work once it blow up then we should take precautions.

Day two and they are still trying to contain it. Resistance to the industry is starting to grow in this area. I remember a few years ago when the story of the gas industry first broke around here and how excited everyone was. And how much money they were going to make. And jobs, jobs and more jobs. Things have really changed now. There were some of us who thought this was not good and we were called terrorist and eco freaks. Funny how times change.

To Anonymous 3:40 PM above. Wait till the rain comes and the runoff makes the crap go into the surface water sources and eventually to the subsurface aquifers!
