21 Arrested Staging Sit-in at Dept. of Interior Demanding Phase Out of Fossil Fuels

Press Release and photos

For your entertainment, here’s a comment from where I posted a notice about tomorrow’s protest in Fort Worth:

So… you’re protesting drilling. Ok. What is your solution? What are those sustainable forms of energy so vaguely discussed in the demands? Just wondering what you’re really trying to accomplish here. It’s like a group of Christians protesting a Marilyn Manson concert. You just look angry and silly and no one is going to want to join your effort. Instead of protesting, why not offer up options and be part of the solution instead of exacerbating the unprecedented tension in our country right now? Just sayin.

Today in the Marcellus Shale protesters marched against Range Resources.
Police turn protesters away from Range headquarters.

UPDATE: New information about the protest yesterday HERE. Range decided to let their employees go home early to avoid the protesters. The response from Range CEO is arrogant and not at all based in any reality from which most normal citizens operate. What can you expect from the same company that brought us DoodyGate.

UPDATE: Video of protest in Fort Worth:

You mean solutions like the electric car? Whatever happened to the electric car anyway?

Oh yeah, oil and gas killed it.

I noticed there were NO options from you anonymous!!!!!

Let's see options. Well why don't we start with NO subsidies to O&G whatsoever and the funds can go into research on solar, wind, etc. Then let's move on to NO lobbying congress for " the bridge fuel" which is dirty energy dressed up in lipstick and high heels. Then when we get better at this we might even consider taking all those trillions, gazillions we spend invading other countries to bring them " democracy" AND oh yeah, we are just going to exit here with some of your hydrocarbons….

And while we are all goose-stepping in time to Aubrey McClendon and Boone Pickens, they are signing deals under the table to…WHAT?….this can't be!!!…to export our precious natural gas to Asia?

Brings a whole new meaning to "WAKE UP, AMERICA!!!!!"
