Fracking News

I guess Big Gas Mafia can’t buy Hollywood

January 26, 2011 By TXsharon

They’re pissed.

Industry furious (but not surprised) at Gasland’s Oscar nod

WARNING:
Do not read with full bladder!

“Contrary to the film’s claims, natural gas development can and does exist in harmony with our environment, and it can play a central role in improving our nation’s air quality and solving our energy challenges,”

I think they’re scared too.

    Contact me.

I'll not only give you my story, I will give you the test results to back it up.

Unfortunately, there is a lot of doubt in Southlake. Our City Council will be making their decision on 2/1 of whether to allow natural gas drilling in Southlake. Despite the fact that they recently enacted a 180-day moratorium to fully understand the issue; they have not included the 2permits that are currently before them. Yeah, still trying to figure that one out. ?!

Southlake: They need to talk to Runner Susan, Zoe, and Garrick-from Flower Mound.

(To just name a few close to Southlake.)

They can give facts with evidence about gas drilling.

Runner Susan spoke at a Southlake Council Meeting and "someone" told them she is a "lunatic who exaggerates" so they used that as an excuse to discount her. I have sent them information. Other people have warned them.

    Maybe they don't care.

Perhaps we need to put together a site a facility tour for them. Few people get the opportunity to visit with the ghost of gas drilling future so close to home. We can make some water hose roasted s'mores at the end of the tour. Southlake, if you are reading, Runner Susan is an educated, articulate spokeswoman, who has become impassioned by the devastation heaped upon her family and home, you are foolish if you do not listen to her. Gas drilling and all that goes with it are a forever deal, definitely not a legacy you would leave to your children. Jana DeGrand

I have contacted the Southlake Mayor on several occasions. I sent him the letter my 9 year old wrote about how she is sick and suffers from 'mystery rashes' and how she doesn't want drilling and fracing because other kids at school are sick too.

Probably like her Mommy, sick from gas drilling.

Yes, Susan did speak and did a phenomenal job! I can't thank her enough! Residents from Flower Mound have spoken too. We've shared the stories of Tim & Christine, Zoe, Sandra, Deb, Bob & Lisa, Jayme etc etc etc. Our council can only hear what they're willing to listen to. And some members have listened; unfortunately it may not be enough. Our city may be the next to fall because they wouldn't stand up to the gasholes!

What I've found is people don't seem to care about little children with bloody noses, rashes, headaches, vomiting, seizures and leukemia. They just don't care–it's someone else, it won't happen to me, etc.

What I've found is people care deeply about their property value. That's when they start paying attention. Look for them to start paying attention real soon because some news about property values is coming.

No wonder America is going down the tubes. We are morally bankrupt.

"morally bankrupt" sums it all up, Sharon. Thank you for your never-ending efforts in fighting the good fight.

Southlake should be excited about welcoming all the "18 Wheelers" to their expensive, already busy streets. I have not enjoyed all the "18 wheelers" added in Flower Mound. Southlake, you will be next!

And Southlake, you know what else comes with the 18 wheelers? Gravel hitting your automobile. I have not liked all the gravel hitting my automobile as I am stuck behind on the streets. (Just like on the freeway!) You will not like your beautiful, expensive vehicles being hit like this either.

Honestly, would you really want to buy Hollywood?
