Fracking News

I am a seducer of children. A destroyer of youth.

December 20, 2010 By TXsharon

Who knew, right?

I am a “Green Dragon.”

UPDATE: The Dirty Energy guys, Big Oil, Big Gas and Big Coal, are behind this, of course. The video is a creation of the Cornwall Alliance. And they rolled out the video at the Koch Oil funded Heritage Foundation. (Hat tip: David) The video says that environmentalists are seducing children and destroying youth.

Beware the Treehuggers

Just in time for the holidays, a coalition of Christian conservative groups has issued an “explosive new 12-part DVD series” detailing the dangers of environmentalism. “Resisting the Green Dragon” explains how caring about future of the natural world is really an attempt to “push evangelicals to embrace anti-Christian environmental views.”

You can read a well laid out rebuttal for this lunacy here: Climate change denial from the Book of Hesitations

This manipulation of Christianity stems from Greed. Isn’t that one of the seven deadly sins?

The Barnett Shale Money Changers

Spiritual leaders in the Barnett Shale use God
to excuse their greed.

And I believe lazy people allow themselves to be manipulated because it’s easier to believe that some deity will bail us out than to take responsible actions to change our destructive ways.

A while back a post on this blog that I can’t find at the moment generated a lot of comments with Bible versus that disputed the manipulation. I’d like you to do that again.

    Acts 20:35

In all things I have shown you that by working hard in this way we must help the weak and remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he himself said, ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.'

    Leviticus 19:9-10

“When you reap the harvest of your land, you shall not reap your field right up to its edge, neither shall you gather the gleanings after your harvest. And you shall not strip your vineyard bare, neither shall you gather the fallen grapes of your vineyard. You shall leave them for the poor and for the sojourner: I am the Lord your God.

…."their views are not based on any good science." Interesting, I don't use science to believe in God either. Go figure. On judgement day when asked how I treated my fellow man, I will say I did what I could for the weak and gave of my heart. When asked how I treated God's creation, I will say I helped my fellow man first and then that which was entrusted to us. I will not say I used ANY political party view as my own. The quicker my fellow Republicans drop the "holier than thou art" bit, the faster they will be able to act on the love they are supposed to have for their fellow man and God's planet.

God gave man dominion over the Earth and over all other living things. Dominion by any definition, does not mean destroy it. Dominion does mean Dominant, but also includes responsibility as well. If are dominant over something, you have a responsibility to care for what you are in control of. Man's law may very well dictate that mineral right owners are dominant over everything else, including us lowly surface owners, but it's philosophically incorrect to be also in charge of defining what that responsibility encompasses. If you are a parent, you are dominant over your children-and have responsibility for their care, health and welfare until they are adults. You are resonsible, but you also don't get to define what all that responsibility entails! (try not living up to that responsibility, and see what happens. Hint: Prisons and other institutions are full of them)

Stupidest shit ever… I like how that hag is spewing all this garbage on her porch surrounded by "the green dragon." Was anyone else annoyed by how they insisted on letting you know they coined the phrase green dragon? Make no mistake about it these people are dumb as hell.
