Everybody is letting the Texas Railroad Commission have it these days but this my kind of slap-down!
You Know Who Hates Texans? Why, the Railroad Commission of Texas, Naturally.
By Jim Schutze
The Houston Chronicle quoted commissioner Michael Williams as calling Armendariz’s action “Washington politics of the worst kind.”
Oh my God. Why does anybody still even call that man for a quote? At least if people do quote him, they should identify him as, “Michael L. Williams, Texas Railroad Commission member and incinerator of families.”
Great question, Jim!

The RRC is nothing but a complete JOKE as far as helping ordinary citizens–completely worthless. The RRC is the ULTIMATE industry LAPDOG!

I was just wondering this week if Jim Schutze had done or was going to do any pieces on this situation. He's the best, I used to follow his column weekly when I lived in Dallas. Thank goodness for the handful of great journalists we have in this market.

Guess who is replacing "Good Old Victor"? David Porter
"The differences between my opponent (Jeff Weems) and me are based on philosophical differences reflected in our party identity. As a small business owner and conservative Republican, I believe in free market principles and a small federal government. My opponent is a proud contributor to the President Obama and supports this Administration that seeks only to do harm to the oil and gas industry in Texas by increasing the federal government’s oversight of our state’s preeminent industry.

For three decades I have worked in and around the oil and gas industry in Texas. I own various working and royalty interests in several leases. I also live on property where there are oil wells and pipelines (what about gas wells?) of which I share no interest. My water comes out of a well on this property. My broad experience covers a vast array of perspectives and this is what makes me the best candidate for the job. I really can look at the Texas energy industry from all angles. I will bring real hands-on oil and gas experience to the Commission, and I know firsthand the challenge producers face from overregulation and taxes.
READ IT AND WEEP THE MAJORITY OF TEXANS VOTED FOR MORE OF THE SAME OLD SHIT JUST A DIFFERENT NAMED TURD.

Just a little more information about David Porter (who was elected with over 75% of the vote).
Texas Ethics Commission data show Porter has raised $128,482 so far, compared to $64,167 by Weems. Porter’s contributions include $10,000 from Dallas billionaire Harold Simmons, who has contributed more than $1 million to Gov. Rick Perry since 2000. Porter also received $25,000 from Kelcy Warren, another Dallas billionaire who co-founded natural gas pipeline titan Energy Transfer. Other notable donations include $1,000 from the Baker Botts Amicus Fund, coming from the Houston law firm Baker Botts, long known for defending accused polluters in court.
Just a little more information which will hopefully give straight party ticket voters pause before they vote again. Do some research people is this man really the best person for the job of the newest TRRC industry mouthpiece?

Porter's so-called 'experience' with oil and gas is doing a handful of operator's taxes for them. Porter is a CPA, and judging by the few videos I've seen, it's a wonder he can add 2 + 2 without the need for a calculator WITH TAPE.
In the video 'debate' some months back, Porter's answers to failry softabll questions was more often thatn not "I Don't Know" preceeded by a lengthy delay. My guess is that Mr. Prter was trying to remember what Michael Williams had coached him to say, and simply forgot.
On Porter's campiagn website, he stated that operators "Leave the (homeowner's) surface in the same condition they found it, if not better." I asked Mr. Porter for a list of the homeowner's properties that were left in, or returned to their original condition. He never did respond. Clueless with zero experience, and like many before him, will do exactly what he's told to do by the Industry, with Michael Williams and Elizabeth Jones holding his hand as he crosses the dangerous street, because Porter doesn't have enough sense to look both ways beofre crossing.

Elect Tim Ruggiero as Texas Railroad Commissioner!!! Haha, but seriously even if the people actually put forth a candidate that wasn't bought and paid for by O&G the TRC would immediately be shut down and replaced with Rick Perry's uber corrupt gubernatorial appointees that represent the people(of OKC)
