The red is Mother Earth's blood spewing all over.

Yesterday in a neighbors yard I saw crack lines, like an earthquake, where the Earth had settled from natural gas extraction. His body is filled with cancer.

    …Super consciousness…

I believe we can expect more like Jakarta, and Haiti if we continue as we are.

Oh, didn't you hear? Ed Ireland of the Barnett Shale Energy Education Council said the Barnett Shale will not be effected by subsidence. He is an economist so he should know about things that crater.

Maybe he was referring to the subsidence in gas company profits with gas prices at record lows as gas companies choose between the lessor of two evils, producing gas at a loss, or drilling just to hold leases. Yeah, that was probably it.

    Marfa, here I come.

Are you sure Marfa is safe? I have another friend who is leaving for Oregon soon. Everyone is leaving me. =(

According to this map it is. To give you an idea of how people think in Marfa, they fought and won a battle with a solar energy company to control the noise from the facility. The ranches I saw out there seem to be pristine- no O&G in the vicinity. Lots of wide open country. High desert weather, warm days cool nights. Plus the Marfa Lights and a few hot springs scattered around. A nice mix of old cowboys, hippies and regular folks. Sul Ross U. is in FT Davis. You could do worse. But you need money.

I love Marfa and the Ft. Davis area. I could work at Sul Ross U.

I was there a couple of years ago and I checked out the possibility of living there. Sul Ross pays even worse than UNT but I'm used to being poor.

I could ride my horse forever out there.

There will be blood…. Give me the blood Eli give me the blood…Flagstaff, Arizona maybe? Are there secret gas plays waiting to be had in Arizona??? I sure hope not.

I don't know of any secret gas plays in Flagstaff area–a pretty good area to live in, a small college town–except for the loud train traffic, some nearby mining, and the cold winters. Overall, it's on our list of possible GTHOOTx (Get The Hell Out Of Tx.)
