Chesapeake Energy gave my friend a bloody nose

October 6, 2010 By TXsharon

This is my favorite time of year. Everything is green, leaves are still on the trees, the days are warm and sunny while the nights are cool. It’s the perfect time to sleep with your windows open and I love to do that.

Sleeping with open windows in the Barnett Shale is hazardous to your health.

My friend lives right next to a Chesapeake Energy gas well. She slept with her window open last night and paid for it with a bloody nose all day long today.

A resident of Argyle has the same problem as stated in a comment at the ABCAlliance blog.

Hell, I just want to be able to sleep with my windows open without getting headaches or nausea.

That should be my American Right as a property owner,

Don’t you think?

I think this is an actionable item. Our enjoyment of our property has been diminished because it is now hazardous to our health to sleep with our windows open.

Another economic impact from the Barnett Shale: we will never get that break from our electric bill that we once enjoyed this time of year.

FYI Sunday Night, it's supposed to be clean air Sunday in Bartonville, we slept with our windows open. Monday while getting ready for school my 10 year old became dizzy and stumbled into the walls several times before telling me. That's the day that vivacious, tenacious, healthy ultra endurance athlete and coach had to ride the couch all day. We live about 2 miles from our lovely Argyle Central.

I haven't slept with my windows open since. My daughter has had to carry the barf bucket around 5 times in 7 days.

And to think, some people may vote for Rick Perry. Registered Republicans, vote on the issue: Clean Air.

Otherwise = status quo and slow poisoning of you and I and our children.
