I have been told by a reliable source that the Sunset Advisory Committee SAC believes there are no problems with the Texas Railroad Commission TRC. The same source told me the TRC is terrified because they know how inept they are and fear the SAC.
Everyone is so focused on the TCEQ they are missing the ginormous elephant in the room. That is a tragic mistake that we need to correct immediately.

yet the most inept organization there is. I'm really not sure why they exist, all they do is parrot whatever Industry tells them.
Most recently, Ramona Nye, head liar for TRRC, is continuing the lie Industry tells. Why do we need the TRRC? What a waste of tax money.
Can someone please tell me when was the last time the TRRC took any meaningful action against an operator? Can anyone tell me when was the last time the TRRC took any action at all? (I mean, of course, other than to tell us what the chloride level of our water is)
The RRC is a tax wasting orginization–a true TxTWO. The lights need to be "turned out" on them and the TCEQ.

I think the Sunset Review Board need to do its due diligence and contact every person that has ever filed a complaint with the TRC.
It would be well worth their while. People aren't complaining to the TRC because they learn very quickly that they are worthless and in the back pocket of industry.
A quick search of the news comments will show you this. The TRC doesn't make it easy to find on their website, but I'm sure a Public Information Request with the right wording would reveal how they have ignored us.
Do some digging Sunset Review Board. People gave up on the TRC a long time ago because they are corrupt. No news is NOT good news in this arena.
