New study: Global warming undeniable

July 29, 2010 By TXsharon

Scientists say global warming is continuing
By RANDOLPH E. SCHMID

Compiled by more than 300 scientists from 48 countries, the report said its analysis of 10 indicators that are “clearly and directly related to surface temperatures, all tell the same story: Global warming is undeniable.”

One of the main problems caused by Global warming is drought. This might be a good time to conserve in every aspect of our lives but especially in energy consumption. Requiring recycling of hydraulic fracturing water would also be a good idea starting right NOW.

And a study by Princeton University researchers released Monday suggested that continued warming could cause as many as 6.7 million more Mexicans to move to the United States because of drought affecting crops in their country.

Soon it will be like this here. It’s already very close.

Moscow engulfed by worst smog in almost a decade
Moscow is suffering from the worst smog in almost a decade, as the Russian capital continues to swelter in the hottest weather since records began.

The conditions have sent pollution in the city to ten times above safe levels.

Russia’s chief lung doctor said the carbon monoxide level was the equivalent of smoking two packs of cigarettes every few hours.

Some people are so busy with their own lives in how to be comfortable and pampered. They choose to ignore our state of urgency and want things to stay as is. Let Texas break from the US and co-exist with Mexico, I'll go back home to Louisiana & wallow in the pollution there. That's where I grew up and thought I was getting away from when I moved to Texas!

We may not be able to reduce global warming, end pollution and save endangered species single-handedly, but by choosing to live an earth-friendly lifestyle we can do a lot every day to help achieve those goals.

People forget history, like the smog deaths in London in 1952 that killed 4,000 people, and the smog deaths in New York that killed more than 150 in Nov. 1966.

This is not new. We just keep making the same mistakes over and over.
