The Texas Progressive Alliance is somewhat distracted this week by the upcoming series finale of “Lost”, but managed to stay on task long enough to bring you the blog roundup.

    As a business owners who pays Perry's "franchise" tax, he is a Republican by label only. Income taxes are not Constitutional in the state of Texas, so you call it a "franchise" tax, and presto! I would rather have a Democrat tell me to my face he is going to raise my taxes, at least he is being up-front and honets, then Perry's bait-and-switch tax.
