60 Minutes report exposes gas drilling dangers

May 17, 2010 By TXsharon

Hydraulic fracturing, excessive water usage, flaming water wells, toxic emissions, gas leaks, health impacts and owners surprised by eminent domain…

This 60 Minutes VIDEO report exposes natural gas drilling dangers in Australia.

This is the biggest single issue we’ve seen in this country, EVER!

The 60 Minutes report from the Barnett Shale will not air for a few months.

That is absolutely terrifying to watch. The only difference between Australia's situation and ours is the accent.

I love the part where the Queensland Mines Minister admits that he doesn't know what chemicals are being rammed into the ground. Then he rationlizes it by saying that he's been assured that they are using appropriate chemicals to release the gas. What the hell does that mean??

So as long as the chemicals appropriately release the gas, I guess it doesn't matter what the impact is on human health and safety.

    Shocking stupidity and greed!!
