Corinth elections further proof that North Texans want Drill-Right Texas

May 9, 2010 By TXsharon

The Corinth Council members who listened to citizens and denied XTO drilling permits were rewarded for their political courage.

Preliminary election results show a landslide in voter support.

The Mayor and Council apparently enjoy their jobs, and also seem to remember they represent the PEOPLE, not XTO Bob. If only Jody Smith had such insight, she might not be packing up her office now. I'm sure Williams has a job for her, though. They should, they already have a pile of money invested in her.

Good comments. Yeah-don't let em drill til they drill right! And would that ever mean drilling near homes and schools? I'm thinking NO.

They should have spent some more of the pile, it apparently wasn't enough.

In Arlington, we have a run-off in the only election between a pro-driller and a viable drilling reform candidate. Arlington incumbents are starting to come around.
