Fracking News

I fell down on the Carter Ave Rescue Operation

March 6, 2010 By TXsharon

I have fallen down on the job of Carter Ave reporting but thankfully Don Young, The Queen of Wink and Durango have covered it splendidly.

For the past week, I was without an internet connection at home and any blogging was done by my iPhone, at Starbucks or from the unmarked van during the stealth air monitoring operation.

I had everything planned out in my usual manner of trying to cram 10 pounds in a 5 pound bag. I took several days of vacation from work to participate in the air monitoring and attend the rally for Steve. When the air monitoring opportunity was extended another day, I had to make a choice to participate in that or attend the rally for Steve. I agonized for hours over it then some of my Wise County neighbors said, “We have your back. Go monitor…” So that’s what I did.

Steve, this doesn’t mean that I love you and Elizabeth any less or that your cause was less important to me than the monitoring. I knew you had people and the monitoring needed people .

Nicely done everyone.

From what I read–it's another example of crooked bought off courts. Only way to get anything out of a Texas court is to go buy off the judge up front–otherwise, forget about any help as an ordinary citizen.

Sharon–Steve probably appreciated what you were doing in trying to clean the air since he made a specific point at the Feb. NCTCA meeting directed at the new EPA regional director Dr. Armendariz that his daughter Elizabeth (?) has respiratory issues and that his home is surrounded by gas wells in every direction within a 1/2 mile radius. We had "his back" Thursday while you had his "front/lungs", Sharon.

When we were on the freeway adjacent to Carter Ave, the readings shot straight up. Very high levels of methane in Elizabeth's area. =(
