Range Resources paid 0,4% taxes last year

January 26, 2010 By TXsharon

I do not like paying taxes! However, I do like knowing I can call the police and fire department if I need help. I LOVE how the EPA is cracking the knuckles of the TECQ. Although I do not use the public school system, I understand the value of an educated public so I don’t mind supporting public schools. I like driving on paved roads, walking in parks and I love the public library, etc.

I do not like it that my boss makes over 8 times what I do yet he pays less taxes! That’s ridiculous!

I don’t have an adjective for this next bit of information but I do have a graphic.

Range Resources (RRC) paid just 0.4% last year. LINK

CFO Roger Manny insists that ending deferments will hurt the cash flow of his company, discourage exploration across the industry, and lead to higher energy prices.

Deferred tax payments to oil companies are supposed to end with the new budget.

The concessions for the oil and gas industry is out of hand. We have a problem when an industry has more power than our government!! Heck even our elected officials have to pay taxes. Thanks for the graphic, it helped me stay on my diet this morning and pass up the jelly roll in front of me!

It's way past time to implement the big ole "T" word. Big gas needs to be taxed on many aspects of their operations. For instantance, impose a heavy tax on wells who's surface location is say 1000 ft. of a residence in Texas. Residential property taxes in Texas could be reduced.

Drilling near our property is making our property worthless. They will have to do something.

The only thing Texas gov't understands is a body count, and I'm not sure even that would stop them at this point. – Ex-Republican

Texas Government is basically worthless when it comes to protecting the ordinary residents against the onslought of O&G and other things like toll roads, etc. It's made up of WP's! (WP=Worthless Politician)
