Barnett Shale: Using God

November 28, 2009 By TXsharon

Don Young has an excellent post on FWCanDo

God & Gas Drilling

Collectively, churches are among the largest landowners in many communities. They are often located in the heart of neighborhoods and are generally trusted by neighbors. Gas drillers may be evil but they are not dumb. When mapping out their assault on Fort Worth, they understood that churches were the low-hanging fruit that would jump-start their campaign. And they were right.

This just goes to show that just about anyone will do anything for money. Even people who you and I think are closest go God can be bought. So sad.

There are good reasons why Jesus was recorded in the Bible discussing the issue of money and power so much more than homosexuality or other "cultural values" that are in vogue among some today. Jesus was focusing on the core of people's behavior–their "hearts"/moral values and ethical conduct that he had modeled, self-sacrifice in order to serve. Amen, Brother Young.

Not only the churches, it's the local school districts and 'water boards' are on the take! Our locals in Tx are all being bought off!

Thank you so much Don Young.
You have certainly laid the truth
right out there for all to see.
It is a real shame when churches
    turn their backs, to blatant
abuses of the "flock". Makes one
    question long held beliefs.

Ward, it's proper and good to question long time held beliefs…always question, don't accept things just because they said to. Just because you question a "leader's motives" doesn't mean that you've turned your back on "THE ALMIGHTY".
