Map Shows Gas Drilling Across US

November 9, 2009 By TXsharon

If you want to avoid the horrors of having a drilling rig and gas well in your backyard, contaminated water and air, avoid the states with red or pink.

That pretty much leaves Texas out.

Dang, Sharon. We came half way across the planet to get away from the Reds/Communists. And now we're right dab-smack in the middle of red-ness. Of course, eminent domain abuse in FW by ruthless profit-focused industry (aided and abetted by the government "of, by, and for the people")like that on Carter Ave. will rob us of our property and home equity THUS leaving us financially IN THE RED. We're so disgusted and upset that we're see…you guessed it!!Dang, Sharon!

Done research in Tx. Only about a half dozen counties from Bosque down and to the southwest toward Llano, Hays and few more in that direction. That's all there is in Tx that is worth living away from O&G. And then there is other intrusive crap even there like power plants, rock quarries, etc. Not good to live in Tx.

The politics in Texas is even more toxic than anything the drillers dish out. And people seem to be unable and unwilling to see that the politics is what brought us this out of control industry.

Right on TxSharon, how true, how true. It's the corrupt and rotten politicians at all levels in Tx that caused and is continuing to cultivate this fiasco we have here in Tx. You can't live on the land for normal enjoyment.
