Texas Railroad Commission: Misuse of Taxpayer Money

October 27, 2009 By TXsharon

The Texas Railroad Commission is misusing our hard earned tax dollars to promote a political position that will ultimately cause great harm to Texans!

The letter also repeats industry propaganda that has been debunked! See Industry Sways Congress with Misleading Data.

We should all call and fax and demand that our tax dollars not be misused in this manner. The Commissioners should spend less time propagandizing and more time checking out those abandoned sludge pits all over North Texas or do some of those inspections that are delinquent!

Interesting. This Waxman federal law should have a one-time chance for a state like Tx. to opt out of the law. If the state opts out, then citizens of that state will loose all kinds of energy efficiency rebates for autos, homes, etc. Also corporations operating in the opted out state could not get any kind of federal incentives for making energy efficiency appliance, alternate energy, etc. Then and then only will the Texas type politicians "get their minds right"!

Go ahead and do what the Lord wants you to. That's OK if you want to. However, Big O&G and energy producers are using agriculture pollution to distract from their enormous pollution compared to agriculture. Believe you me there's pollution from agri.; but, it pails in comparison to what producing and burning fossil fuels generates. Nice try.
