Sixteen Inch Pipeline Explodes

September 14, 2009 By TXsharon

A sixteen inch pipeline exploded in Rio Grande City.

The video is dramatic but I was stricken by the cavalier way they mentioned that the pipeline might have been old. Regulation of pipelines in Texas is almost non-existent. No one was injured because the pipeline was on a ranch away from a populated area.

You're correct. Almost NO regulation or control of pipelines in Tx. Only a few overpaid government workers collecting and reporting relatively unimportant information. Our tax money at work. No control of what's IN the pipelines! We need some help from the Feds!
