Clean Water Laws Are Neglected, at a Cost in Suffering

September 13, 2009 By TXsharon

In case you haven’t seen this already, it’s an extensive report in the NY Times.

Toxic Waters
Be prepared to be thoroughly freaked out!

I ordered a British Berkefeld water filter last week. It should be here on Tuesday. It won’t filter everything out–like the endocrine disruptors–but I don’t think anything will.

If that’s not enough to get you outraged, read this:

A National Assessment of Tap Water Quality
More than 140 contaminants with no enforceable safety limits found in the nation’s drinking water

Utilities need more money to monitor for contaminants
and protect source waters

I read the whole NY Times, excellent article—but, it didn't say anything about the massive O&G pollution that is going on like that here in Texas!!

It seems there are so many who are misinformed or uninformed about oil and gas pollution–even the experts. Sad.

That's the way the O&G companies and the WP's want it here in Tx.
    We're ruined.
