I wish our governor would show some class for a change. By Presidential order the flag is to remain at half-staff until sunset on August 30,2009, but, of course, Rick Perry has, so far, refused to follow that and issue the same orders for the State of Texas.
I wish, just once, Perry would rise to a higher level instead of sinking to the lowest level possible and dragging the entire state down with him.

He issued the order yesterday at 3:30 PM. He did edit the presidential order though so our flag won't be a half-staff for as long as the Presidential Order says.
