I am so tired of evangelists whining about how “persecuted” they are. I saw a letter in the Star-Tel the other day from one, complaining, as usual, because they can’t yet force everyone’s kids to be taught their creed in public schools, don’t yet have their beliefs codified into law, etc. etc. etc. They all have the right, a right I will defend, to teach their kids about their religion in their homes,churches, Bible schools, Sunday schools, church-sponsored schools, church-sponsored retreats and camps…but that’s not what they want. They want the government to force their beliefs on everyone else. Theocracy…they’d love it!
