Hey Michael, I Think Dr. King Would Have Told You to Shut the Hell Up!
Williams has become the latest Texas Republican (white, African American, or otherwise) to decide he needs to act like he is personally responsible for carrying out the legacy of Martin Luther King, Jr. while acting as a state official against the interest of all people. This time, Williams said that he believed King would want him to talk about how inexperienced Barack Obama is. Yes, I’m serious.
Considering that a huge percentage of environmental injustice happens in poor, minority communities like Panola County, AND considering that Williams has taken protection money to allow those injustices to take place, I think Dr. King would be horribly disappointed in Williams.
