Tara Banks is not fat

February 2, 2007 By TXsharon

Tara Banks recently retired from modeling and has gained 30 pounds. She is 5’10” and now weighs 161 pounds. Some people are calling her fat. Watch this VIDEO and see if you think she’s fat.
An excerpt from the video:

Luckily, I’m strong enough and I have a good enough support system. I love my Mama, and she has helped me to be a strong woman so I can overcome these kinds of attacks, but if I had a lower self-esteem, I would probably be starving myself right now. That’s exactly what is happening to other women all over this country.”

Growing increasingly emotional, she addresses those who “have something nasty to say about women who are built like me … women who have been picked on, women whose husbands put them down, women at work or girls at school – I have one thing to say to you: Kiss my fat a–.”

    Tara,

I have so much respect for you and what you are accomplishing in the field of weight proportions in women. I am 54 and don’t normally watch daytime TV, but have been home from work due to some health issues.I saw your show when you did a re-do of your cover shots for Sports Illustrated. You looked wonderful, even better than 10 years ago. You’re a wonderful role model for todays women, young and old.I have watched many other of her recent shows.I am very proud of you and feel that you have started a great movement in America. We need other young women that will stand up for themselves and other women. And, I am not overweight,at 54 I am 5’4″ and 128, so that has no bearing on my opinions.
    God Bless you Tara,

Well, i just happened to see her wearing a short dress on Americas Top Model. I agree, She isn`t fat and the fact that she “dares” to wear an above thigh skirt proves that she is strong willed and confident in her body. This is a positive message to all you girls and guys. You don`t have to have toned and slim bodies to expose them. Cellulite is a normal symptom of the aging process and so are beer bellies. The sooner we all escept this, the sooner we can all be who we want to be. Oh, hang on. Havn`t all the models so far been slim to skinny, with the occasional plump girl( which gets kicked anyhow.
