Fracking News

Dear Mayor Moncrief

November 21, 2010 By TXsharon

Nice try on the attempt to rewrite history but we aren’t buying it.

It is way too late to pretend that you want to regulate the gas industry and that you care more about the health and safety of Fort Worth residents than you do royalty payments.

For you entertainment, Dear Readers, here is a video that shows a short clip of Moncrief trying to pretend concern for citizens and a desire for more control.

About Sharon Wilson

Sharon Wilson is considered a leading citizen expert on the impacts of shale oil and gas extraction. She is the go-to person whether it’s top EPA officials from D.C., national and international news networks, or residents facing the shock of eminent domain and the devastating environmental effects of natural gas development in their backyards.

Whoa. Stop the presses. Home rule gives Texas cities tons of authority. Otherwise, how has Southlake managed to keep gas drilling out of their city? Is Mayor Moncrief saying none of this is his fault?

Yep, the Gasfather is taking a page from CHK's playbook in using half-truths and revisionist history. He was, to use his words, a "tool" alright and did "the job" on the citizens. The lack of conscience was especially clear when he claimed he wanted to keep potentially dangerous gas pipelines away from people's homes.

I hope that the man from Carter Ave., who fought off Moncrief's business partner CHK's 2-year long attempts to force 16-inch wide high pressure gathering lines under his and his neighbor's front yards, will take some legal action to make this gasbag pay for his role in the assault…besides the major embarassment that's been inflicted on his arrogant reign as the direct result of Steve Doeung's successfull defense of his family's safety and property rights. Joel Thomas of CBS 11 news also reported about this hearing and interviewed Steve, who apparently had documents showing that the pipeline route will go alongside the freeway instead of alongside bedrooms.

That's major news. Wonder why the media, esp. the FW Weekly, who did a cover story about this guy's fight, not report on the conclusion of this high profile fight of will power?
Then again, the media and even the public tend to prefer know about victoms of the shale rather than a victor of this B.S. area.

Mayor Moncrief set the stage more than any other single person in all of the Metroplex for this onslaught to occur. I consider him traitor #1.

Fort Worth set the "standard," for sure. What a mess.

Thanks to the Gasfather, thousands of families

and even multiple generations are being and will get whacked/tracked. Ft.Worth: cowboys, culture (of corruption), collusion, and criminal negligence. Or yea, and Chesapeake's motto "All together, WE win!"
