FEATURED SPEAKER JEFF WEEMS
Jeff Weems is a named partner at a Houston litigation firm. Jeff’s practice centers on the energy industry. In fact his whole life has been centered around the oil and gas business, having worked for energy service companies while in high school and college to help pay for his education.
Jeff is a member, and has been a speaker for the National Institute of Royalty Owners – Texas. He is also a member of the American Petroleum Institute.
Most importantly….he is running as a Democratic Candidate for a position on the Texas Railroad Commission. Jeff will briefly outline the regulatory powers of the TxRRC, and how he envisions a more “citizen friendly” agency, especially relative to the Barnett Shale production zone. (Note: the Republican candidate David Porter was invited but had to decline due to a previously scheduled event)
