February 12, 2010 By TXsharon

It’s not too late to send your comments to the EPA! All the information you need is HERE.

The EPA is listening and responding to comments.

Thank you for your email expressing your concerns regarding natural gas exploration. The EPA has taken a very strong interest in the environmental concerns regarding natural gas exploration and oil extraction. As such, we have coordinated with our state partners as a delegated agency, to ensure that your concerns are addressed efficiently. The state and EPA will work together to follow up with your concern and ensure compliance with the Clean Air Act. We assure you that this issue is one that is very close to our hearts here at EPA Region 6, and we hope to continue to provide information to the public, as such information becomes available. We understand your concerns regarding the possible heath implications of the exploration natural gas and oil, and assure you that your spoken concerns have not fallen on deaf ears.

It’s a rather joyous song.” ~ Leonard Cohen, creator of the song, Hallelujah. He says: “I wanted to write something in the tradition of the hallelujah choruses but from a different point of view… It’s the notion that there is no perfection ~ that this is a broken world and we live with broken hearts and broken lives but still that is no alibi for anything. On the contrary, you have to stand up and say hallelujah under those circumstances.”
