Cancer clusters investigations are complicated, and state health officials have to work with statewide, finalized data from the cancer registry. That means the latest information available is going to be from people diagnosed in 2007 or earlier, but researchers will be looking for statistically significant occurrences back to 1998.
Some of the victims have been diagnosed more recently than 2007. The state needs to extend the time frame.
