Peter Gorman who wrote The Big Takeover lives not far from where Chesapeake Energy’s fracking fire burned up 8 tractor trailer rigs and all kinds of other stuff. He’s been over there a couple of times but the armed guard won’t even let reporters in. Here’s his take on it:
Love the title!
I’ve been thinking about this Fracking Fire: According to Chesapeake’s spokesman at the Caddo Louisiana Frack Job where 17 cattle got fracked, the super-secret frack mixture they blend up in those blenders that burned up at the Johnson County Caddo Rd. Fracking Fire is OVER 99% fresh water. Who knew water could burn up 8 tractor trailer rigs?
Sure would be interesting to know what’s in the other less than 1% of that fracking stuff. Too bad we can’t know because of the trade secret and all.
I can’t decide if the Caddo part is irony or karma. What do you think?
