Barnett Shale Earthquakes: Yeah, Another One

It’s the 7th in Cleburne and about number 20 or so for this area.

Add to that the other indirect costs which someone needs to tally and drilling for natural gas is a net loss to communities.

However, I’m a lot more concerned about the Hexavalent Chromium contamination in Midland That contamination occurred because of the loopholes in our federal environmental laws. Drilling waste was declared non-hazardous so the pit where Schlumberger dumped the obviously extremely hazardous waste was not regulated by the EPA.
