Adventures in the Snow

March 8, 2008 By TXsharon

It took me 5 hours to get home Friday. Just going from the Sonic to the Outback Market in Krum took an hour. I called Krum City Hall after sitting in front of the school for about 30 minutes without moving and asked them if they were prepared to house hundreds of stranded motorists for the night. Shortly after that, traffic began to move.

Somewhere between Krum and Slidell I had a flat but I couldn’t pull over because the snow on the shoulder was way too high so I just kept driving. The worst stretch was from Krum to Slidell. After I passed Hwy 51 the going was a little easier.

Here’s what it looked like when I finally got home. My weenie dog high centered in the front yard.
