Patterson to discuss future of Christmas Mountains
Land Commissioner calls press confernce following School Land Board meeting Tuesday

AUSTIN – Jerry Patterson, Commissioner of the Texas General Land Office, will discuss the future of the Christmas Mountains in a press conference at 2 p.m. Tuesday.

Patterson will hold the press conference February 5, on the ninth floor of the Stephen F. Austin Building, 17th and North Congress Avenue.

On Tuesday, the three-member School Land Board is set to consider two private bids for the Christmas Mountains. A proposed land management plan submitted by the National Park Service for the Christmas Mountains will be discussed, but will not be acted upon as it was received too late to place on the School Land Board’s agenda.

WHERE: Stephen F. Austin Building, ninth floor, Room 940A, 17th and North Congress Avenue.
