Eagle Ford Shale worker killed today at Conoco site

June 21, 2013 By TXsharon

Here is the statement from Conoco about one of their workers who was killed today. This is all I know about it.

It is with much regret that I must share with you that a fatality has resulted from an early morning incident today at an Eagle Ford drilling site. An H&P contract employee who was injured at the site died a short time later.

Our sympathy and prayers are with the family and friends of the deceased, as well as all H&P employees and ConocoPhillips employees working in that area.

An investigation into the incident has begun and will continue as we seek to understand what occurred and how we can prevent this in the future. The well-site has been secured and all operations discontinued while the investigation is conducted.

The safety of everyone in the Lower 48 is our most important priority. With respect for the memory of this individual, I urge you to give constant attention to your safety and the safety of everyone around you.
