New interim frackademic for director of UT’s Energy Institute

February 7, 2013 By TXsharon

After the frackademia scandal, the former director of the UT Energy Institute resigned. Today the Provost appointed an interim director, Chemical Engineering professor Thomas Edgar.

Oh goodie! He does research in renewable energy.

Edgar’s current energy research covers renewable energy…

But he also does research in enhanced oil recovery, which is a fancy way to say fracking.

Oh no! He has investments in chemicals and…

…oil and gas properties and drilling programs, including Waveland Energy Partners.

Research $$$ + Investment $$$ =

All these universities in Tx are all bought off by big oil, including tu, A&M, UofH, TxTech, TCU, SMU, and others. Any environmental work they do or publish will never show O&G in a bad light!
