Arlington gas well coordinator promotes industry he regulates.

April 11, 2012 By TXsharon

As I’ve already said, I consider it a conflict of interest for city employees to promote the industry they are supposed to regulate.

I’m not alone in that. From the FW Weekly Static: Smart Career Move. The Weekly takes us through a revolving door and down memory lane.

If you want to watch video of the meeting, I’ve been advised to wear waders.

Someone overheard the wife of someone mentioning my name. It’s good to know that they care. Subtracting said wife and the someone who overheard, leaves the attendance pretty skimpy.

No surprise to me. This situation is typical and rampant in our government. It leads me to have less and less confidence in our governement at all levels and including all three branches. One of the WORST orgs of this kind is the TRRC in Austin–not only is it corrupt and a Lapdog org for O&G, but it’s very dangerous for ordinary citizens who are harmed by O&G.

Disturbing, but hardly surprising. They should just change the name of ‘regulator’ to ‘Industry Whore’ and be done with it. See Webster’s dictionary: “A person considered as having compromised principles for personal gain.”
