This information came in a email in Spanish. I translated it in Google Translator.

August 22, 2011. The Monday afternoon, minutes before 5 pm, a pipeline exploded in natural gas, about 2 miles outside of Eagle Pass, beside Highway 57 in Mt.

Manuel Mello, deputy chief of Eagle Pass Fire Department, said the line is owned by the Texas Pipeline Company and distributed is the fuel in Carrizo Springs. The affected tube is 12 inches in diameter. The fire was in the bush and there was no risk to any structure.

He said the Texas Pipeline Company was advised of the fire and be responsible for some valves close connection to the north of Eagle Pass, for the fire burn itself out.

There were no injuries. The fire lasted for several hours and smoke could be seen from Piedras Negras.

Dalworthington Gardens stuck valve at compressor station still not fixed… two elderly residents downwind from the site locked down inside… they are tired and strangely sleepy.

Just got back from there to snap pictures as requested and have a headache now. The dead trees are newlings to the west of the compressor station…from hwy 303 you can see the pipes and so there is now a clearing where there wasn’t before.

This pipeline explosion has nothing to do with the Eagle Ford shale. It was near Eagle Pass, Texas though. Nice try on spreading hysteria though.
