Flower Mound residents sue to stop drilling

July 31, 2010 By TXsharon

“We believe that our case will show that since 2005, the [town] council majority removed many of the protections provided by Flower Mound’s original oil and gas ordinances,” plaintiff Virginia Simonson said in a prepared statement. “We also plan to show that the protections were removed without the full understanding or majority support of Flower Mound residents.”

Just to clarify, the "council majority" that removed many of the protections was many years ago, not the current sitting council.

Be aware that most of these crooked courts in Tx. are VERY Oil Soaked!

What, oil and gas has paid off the whole system? I would have never guessed. The oil and gas industry is a cancer to real, honest businesses and industries and IMO the real 3rd rail of being a Republican.

Good luck in the present court system. We need to change leadership before our state can solve these problems.

Our courts are just as clueless as our municipalities about this assault by the energy industry. It requires due diligence to discover all about it…but they are all too lazy and end up getting most, if not all, of their information from the industries that don't want anyone to know the truth.
