Excellent talk! I loved the quote from Jonas Salk:
“If all the insects on earth disappeared, within 50 years all life on earth would disappear. If all humans disappeared, within 50 years all species would flourish as never before.”
I also liked what he said about a new brain ecology. We have mined the brain like we have mined the earth, as if what comes out of the brain is only useful as a commodity. We have forgotten the value of all sorts of intelligence.
