I received this picture in an email forward. According to Snopes, it’s real. The technical name is Circumhorizon arc

Clouds have to be cirrus, at least 20K feet in the air, with just the right amount of ice crystals and the sun has to hit the clouds at 58 degrees.
What a joy it would be to see this kind of fire in the sky!
