Gasland II HBO premier July 8

June 26, 2013 By TXsharon

Get your fracking watch party on, people!

I don’t have HBO so I’m going to a friend’s house for a girl-watch-party. How are you watching on July 8th?

Dear Friends:

On July 8th the truth comes out. Again.

That’s the day HBO will premiere Gasland Part II. Although the frackers would prefer otherwise, millions of Americans will soon learn about the dangers fracking poses to our water, our air, our climate.

And the simple truth is this: once people understand what fracking is, and what it does, they make the right choice. That is how we (and you are a BIG part of that “we”) put a stop to fracking in the Delaware River Basin. That is why there is no fracking in New York today.

The lesson is that we can stop the drills if we can get enough people to listen. So here is the part of the email where we need to ask something of you:

Go to gaslandthemovie.com and sign-up to host a watch party on July 8th.

Hold your own movie premiere, invite your friends, pop some popcorn and get ready to see the truth.

And check this out: right after the movie I will be holding a live national Q&A.  You can dial in and ask a question

By getting your family, friends, neighbors, work colleagues,”plus ones,” and anyone else you can grab to watch this movie, you make the movement to end fracking that much stronger.

So go to gaslandthemovie.com right now sign up to host a watch party on July 8th.

Because the more people that see this movie, the more people will us fight to stop fracking.

I hope this movie addresses the problem here in Fort Worth.

Don’t think it touches on Fort Worth. Frankly, there are not enough people involved in Fort Worth. It seems most have laid down and rolled over.

    Sharon,

I’m a Christian born and bread in Massachusetts (yes, we do exist) and I’m far from liberal.
As a single parent of 3 great bible beliving kids I want you to know you-all are in my prayers.
My middle kid toured the south and southwest with a new life drama team of 6. Three of them including my daughter had non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma. She’s been cancer free for 7 years and I’m angry the government would sell us out and pollute some of our most precious resources, our air and water.
I’m doing everything I can to educate people up here in the north east.

    May God bless you,
David (Sam is my best friend and a parrot)

Thank you, David. I can use all the prayers I can get.

The thing about fracking is it unites people who might never have come together. I now work with people of all religious views and from all sides of the political spectrum. We all need clean air and safe water. It’s basic.
